Enjoy Whiskey In Zero Gravity

Imagine that you are a space tourist and you want to enjoy the finer things in life. For a start, let’s say you want to indulge in whiskey while enjoying your ride in space.

But, it would be impossible for you to pour the whiskey into the glass without gravity. The solution to this has been provided by Balantine, maker of Scotch whiskey. Their new product, the Space Glass has been designed in such a way that you will be able to enjoy the whiskey while taking delight in your space journey.

The Space Glass, which was developed by Open Space Agency works on the principle of capillary action. This principle was first discovered by Leonardo DaVinci. A liquid has a unique ability to defy gravity while clinging to walls of narrow vessels. By following the same process, water travels from the roots of plants to the flowers.

The process of filling the Ballantine’s Space Glass is simple and unique. Whiskey is injected at the bottom of the cup through a valve. The valve is made up of 3-D printed plastic and goes into a reservoir. The whiskey then goes through narrow channel that spirals to a mouthpiece on the brim. What you need to do is suck in the beverage.

Japan’s Security Screenings for Passengers

Japan’s Security Screenings for Passengers

Security screenings is done in order to stop all skyjacking or any terrorism. Thus, it is very important that travellers are not allowed to bring weapons and other harmful items inside the airline.

Passengers who are on board should undergo security screening. This is done in order to make guarantee that all travellers can easily leave for their destinations and will be safe and secure on their flights.

In the article 86-2 of the Civil Aeronautics Act, it is advised that no one is allowed to bring any harmful and risky items inside the plane before the regulation of screening. These people include passengers, pilots, attendants, and everyone else who boards the airplane.

Moreover, in order for airlines to involve in the aircraft business in Japan, they should acquire a “License” from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

In order to get this permit from authority, every airline should provide to the Minister an “operation plan” (Civil Aeronautics Act Article 100-2).

It is evidently explained that this procedure should have include “Measures to Prevent Seizure of Aircraft and Other Acts” (Ordinance for the Enforcement of the Civil Aeronautics Act. These course of actions points out to security procedures that include the security screening for luggage. This is the reason why security screening for travellers in Japan airports is supervised by every airline.

Narita International Airport act jointly with every airline in imposing flight security procedures to ensure the safety and security of passengers and airplane.

Your Journey To China

Tips For Your Journey To China

There are many differences between China and America, especially cultural. Culture shock is a phenomenon arising from cross-culture communication; it happens when different cultures clash with each other. Because the people live in different countries, they have different education, different languages and different cultures from birth. In order to avoid culture conflict, there are three important cultural habits which a visitor to China should be aware. The three cultural habits are about eating, demanding reciprocity and tipping.

A visitor should know how to eat the correct way in China. It’s the first difference that we use different tableware for eating. In America, people use knives and forks as the main tableware for eating, but in China, people use chopsticks for eating. In China, most restaurants don’t provide knives and forks. They only have chopsticks. It is important for foreigners to learn how to use chopsticks before they come to China. The second difference when it comes to eating is sharing food. In China, when we go to restaurants, we order food together and share it together with our companions or families. After we order meals, the waiter will put all the dishes on the table; everybody sits around table while eating; everybody is eating the dish on the same plate with his own chopsticks. In America, people order their own meals and eat their own food. So when you are in China, you should share food of the table with people while eating. The third difference is that when you are invited by your Chinese friends to go home for dinner, the host will put the dish into your bowl. If you encounter this situation; don’t worry. They just want to show that they are very friendly and they really like you.

A visitor should also know that courtesy demands reciprocity which means to return politeness for politeness: proper behavior is based on reciprocity. For most Americans, if somebody pays their bill; they will be really happy and appreciative, they don’t need pay back. But in China, if somebody pay your bill, you should remember to pay him back. Although they offer to pay your bill, you have to pay back to let them know that you are polite, you are not a stingy person, and you want to keep contact with them. As you do this way, they will want to keep good friendship with you. As the same thing, when you are in China, your friends from there might give you gifts; you need give back to show your politeness. They do these nice things for you to show their politeness, so you, as the recipient, should return your politeness and amity back to keep the harmonious friendship. Demanding reciprocity is a traditional custom in China, when you know this costume, you can avoid some unnecessary misunderstandings during your journey.

The third difference a visitor should know is that Chinese people do not give tips. In America, a customer give tips to all kinds of servers as a way of thanking for their service; it as a traditional custom in American culture. The reason is that workers with service-industry jobs can only get a small salary from their boss; they rely mainly on guest’s tips to make money. But in China we have different processing way; we don’t give tips to others. In China, workers with service-industry jobs, their boss pays them a handsome salary as a reward for their work. These years with the more communications between China and America. Some big cities in China, have begun to pay tips, especially some upscale restaurants and hotels. Now many Chinese changed their mind, they also thought that we should pay the tips, and paying tips is should get normal. But in small cities, people still keep their traditions without paying tips. Personally, I think the difference in tipping does not mean one side is wrong or right. It is because their cultures are different and now with the communication between the world, this kind of situation may be solved in the future.

There are three habits that a visitor should know when going to China. They are about eating, demanding reciprocity and tipping. These tips will help you for your journey of China. Have a good time in China!

Coral Bleaching: Irreversible Fading of a Beautiful Painting

Coral Bleaching: Irreversible Fading of a Beautiful Painting

When it comes to the most beautiful and impressive creature in the sea, some people will think about colorful fish, and others will consider huge and mysterious whales. For me, I regard the coral reef as the most valuable treasure and gift of the great nature because of its endless diversity and beauty. Its color is unique, and its brightness instantly attracts people of all ages.

However, this magnificent painting has started to fade at an astonishing rate. When scientists contrast the Great Barrier Reef today with that twenty years ago, they are shocked by hundreds of square kilometers of bleached corals and their terrifyingly spiritless appearance. This tragic phenomenon can be found not only in the Great Barrier Reef but also in vast areas of waters across the whole planet. Many people may naively think that a coral reef is not a living creature and can form and thrive easily, but corals are in fact living creatures of many shapes, sizes, and types, serving a diverse range of crucial functions in the ecosystem, such as providing homes for fish and regulating water quality. Therefore, the death of corals can mean the death of the planet, and their extremely fragile health and life may never be restored because they are highly sensitive to the ambient temperature and light, among many other environmental factors.

In this regard, there is an urgent need to protect these beautiful but fragile creatures not only for their own welfare but also for the whole ecosystem and all living things on this small planet.

It is clear that coral bleaching has serious consequences, so efforts must be made to save coral reefs across the world. Scientists have proposed various methods to protect corals, including coral transplantation, sea surface temperature monitoring, and the expansion of buffer zones. In addition, because illegal fishing methods such as the use of dynamite and cyanide can kill corals, governments should implement policies that can address the livelihood needs of the fishing community while protecting coral reefs.

Such efforts are crucial for preventing coral bleaching and thus protecting nature for the healthy life and enjoyment of all living things.
